Webflow vs Squarespace: which is better?
Squarespace is quicker and cheaper to set up yourself with templates, and fine for a simple brochure site. Webflow gives you a fully custom design, faster load times, cleaner SEO, and far more room to grow, which is why most businesses that want to stand out choose it.
The honest split is about who's building it. Squarespace is genuinely easy to DIY: pick a template, drop in your content, you're live. That's its whole appeal. The catch is that everyone's using the same templates, so your site tends to look like everyone else's, and you hit a ceiling fast when you want something custom.
Webflow is the opposite. It's fully custom down to the pixel, loads faster, handles SEO and schema cleanly, and scales into a proper CMS or blog without breaking. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve, so most people have it built for them rather than doing it themselves. Once it's built, though, editing your own content is simple.
My rule: if you want a quick, cheap site and don't mind it looking templated, Squarespace is fine. If your website is meant to win you customers and look genuinely yours, Webflow wins, and it's what I build.
