Webflow vs Framer: which should I use?
Both build fast, modern sites without hand-coding. Framer is quicker for simple marketing sites and has slick animations built in. Webflow is more powerful for anything with a real CMS, blog, or complex structure, and gives finer control over SEO and layout. For most business sites that need to grow I use Webflow; for a small animation-led landing page, Framer can be a fine call.
Framer started as a design tool and grew into a website builder, so it is genuinely fast for simple sites and its animations feel effortless. If you want a slick one-page site up quickly, it is strong.
Webflow goes further where it counts for a business: a proper CMS for blogs and case studies, cleaner control over SEO and page structure, and a bigger ecosystem when you need something custom. It is what holds up as your site grows.
Honest take, they are closer than the internet makes out. I reach for Webflow when there is a CMS, real content, or growth involved, and I would only pick Framer for a small, animation-led landing page. Either way, you want it built well, not just fast.
