How do I get my business to show up in ChatGPT?
Make your site easy for AI to read and trust. That means clean structure, pages that answer specific questions directly, schema markup that describes your business as data, a clear consistent name and details across the web, and an llms.txt file. AI tools like ChatGPT pull from well-structured public sites, so the clearer and more authoritative yours is, the more likely you are to be named in an answer.
AI answer engines do not crawl the way old search did. They favour content that is structured, specific, and clearly attributed. Vague marketing fluff does not get quoted; a page that directly answers a real question does. This whole Answers section is built that way on purpose.
The technical side matters too: schema markup that spells out who you are, an llms.txt file that points AI to your key pages, consistent name and contact details everywhere, and clean fast pages. That is Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO.
